What We Do
At James Askew Medical we provide a caring and professional team approach as we work with you to achieve your weight loss goals. We are sure that you will find our multidisciplinary team of specialist surgeon, dietitians, psychologist, exercise physiologist, and experienced administration staff to be warm, welcoming and supportive.
We are committed to long-term results. To ensure your success we closely follow our patients throughout their weight loss journey. Our weight loss surgery package includes seven dietitian appointments, two post-operative psychology appointments and regular on-going medical review appointments that are bulk billed. In addition to your regular clinic visits, we offer monthly support group meetings with guest speakers covering various topics to help keep you on track.
Our new consulting suites at the Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital are focused on patient care and comfort. Separate General Surgical and Bariatric clinics are run and the new suite has enabled the formation of our specialist team approach to weight loss. Our comprehensive care program includes surgical, dietitian and psychological support.
As well as bariatric surgeries, we are here to assist you with general surgery procedures such as gallbladder removal, appendix removal, skin cancer and benign skin lesion excisions, anti-reflux surgery and hernia repairs.
